Sub-Atlantic's telemetry system is compact but powerful and that is used on all our ROVs. It is also used on numerous other applications requiring analogue and digital control.

  • Analogue Channels
    8 inputs and 8 outputs
    12 bit resolution
    Input 0-5v Unipolar +/-5V bipolar
  • Digital Channels
16 inputs and 16 outputs, TTL levels
    Maximum Input Voltage 5.1V
  • RS232 Channels
    2 inputs and 2 outputs
  • Communications Link
RS 485 Maximum baud rate 115,000
    Optically isolated
  • Voltage Requirements
    Supply voltage 18-36VDC
    Supply current 146mA
Connection is via Din 64a/c type

Two card formats are available, an octagonal card or Eurocard format, the octagonal design being ideal for installation into underwater pressure housings. Circuitry on both cards is identical. The system provides 8 analogue inputs and outputs and 16 digital inputs and outputs. Additionally, there are two RS232 inputs and outputs. All multiplexed data is transmitted in RS485 format. The cards communicate in half duplex mode over a serial data link that uses RS485 drivers at a maximum rate of 115200 baud, data transmission rate is user selectable. Both cards operate in a master slave configuration. These are selectable on the circuit boards.
